The Healing Warrior was created to empower Warriors like YOU in taking back your health and feeling great again.

As I recovered from Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease, I felt the need to share what I was learning with others and began to guide my family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who were also suffering from an autoimmune disease or who simply wanted to follow a healthy lifestyle. One of my friends who struggled with severe fatigue for years was able to run her first half-marathon. A co-worker was able to get off antidepressants by switching to an anti-inflammatory diet. I witnessed how their lives began to change and how by making small changes, they recovered their health. I thought to myself, “I could be helping many more people who are seeking answers or guidance”.

The Healing Warrior is your source of guidance and support in healing from an autoimmune disease or in simply following a healthy lifestyle. I believe in the body-mind-spirit connection and believe that it is necessary to address all aspects of your being in order to heal. My name is Valentina and I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease, in January 2013. I experienced severe stomach issues, rapid weight gain and loss, anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations, insomnia, hair loss, dry skin, and brain fog (yes, all of that). I was dismissed by numerous doctors in the U.S and overseas who reported that my symptoms were all in my head, and that I should see a psychiatrist for my anxiety. I felt desperate and hopeless as I knew that something was wrong with my body. I decided to take matters into my own hands and began doing research on the immune system and thyroid disease. I read countless books and medical journals, which confirmed that Hashimoto’s can cause those and many more symptoms. I took nutrition courses, where I learned what foods to avoid or include in my diet. I learned that we can heal from debilitating autoimmune diseases and that we can experience complete relief of symptoms. Filled with hope, I decided to apply the healing protocol I thought was best, which included a paleo (anti-inflammatory) diet, specific supplements, removing toxins, and practicing yoga and medication. Shortly after, my symptoms lessened, and I began to feel like myself again. A year after I was diagnosed, I was fortunate to find a doctor who validated my healing protocol, and helped me achieve full recovery. Since then, I have been guiding others on getting healthy.
